This project dealt with the concept of transitory space and was photographed in Liverpool and one location in Preston.These spaces existed because of the demolition of buildings, both industrial and domestic, in inner city areas. In some cases, the demolition site existed for a short space of time before redevelopment took place, with others the ground lay unused for many years. I photographed using a 5x4 view camera, and the work was exhibited at The Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool and published by Cafe Royal Books - available on our Photodeck web site. A re-photography project, when Stephanie and I revisited the sites in 2011 and photographed from the same viewpoint entitled "Bingo and Burial" was exhibited at LOOK 11.
